Robert Ethington

Robert Ethington is a singer/songwriter originally from the Midwest where he was raised on the deep roots of gospel music and weekend revivals. He found the guitar while listening to James Taylor and Jim Groce who inspired him to tell stories of redemption, place, hope, self-discovery and the American tragedy. His arrival in California in the early 90s paired him up with talented songwriter Trent Yaconelli and they formed the band Five A.M. In 2000, he left the band and now lives with his wife and 3 children in Santa Rosa and finds a little time to share his ideas and music with the community he loves. His wife, Amy, joins him with soulful backup vocals at all of his shows. His lyrics are a troubled combination of restless corn, Kerouacian angst, and lost saviors. His voice is rust on the cotton fields of desire. He is Americana on adrenaline...
