Due Zighi Baci No music has the power to whisk us away to magical, far away places like the songs heard on the streets of Old Europe. From the first musette songs on the accordion, you’re instantly savoring a glass of Chianti on a balcony overlooking the Neapolitan shore or maybe sipping a steaming cappuccino at a sidewalk café on the Champs Elysées in “Gay Paree!” Due Zighi Baci promises to transport you with their authentic, enchanting renditions of popular European salon music dating back to the 1850s. Whether it’s Donizetti (“La Donna E Mobile”), C. A. Bixio, (“Mamma!”) Domenic Mudogno (“Volare”) or Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose” or Charles Trenet’s “Poet’s Dream”, you will fall in love with these timeless, sentimental tunes artfully arranged by accordionist Sheri Mignano and interpreted with passion by the lyrical tenor Michael Van Why. Included on the program at Aqus will be a special ‘sing-a-long’ with Due Zighi Baci.
