He has a PhD in psychology and is the author of Bring Me The Rhinoceros & Other Zen Koans to Bring You Joy, and The Light Inside the Dark: Zen, Soul & the Spiritual Life. He also teaches at Integrative Medicine within Duke University Medical School. Ray has recently retired as a professor of Religious Studies at USF.  He is currently deacon at St. James Parish, Petaluma. Jean has a doctorate in Organization and Leadership from USF. She has taught both secondary and university students, and more recently worked with community networking projects.  Both Jean and Ray have and open and evolving understanding of the relationship of Spirit and the material world.
