Do you have something that you'd like our city, local, state or federal government to do?
If so, come down to Aqus Cafe and participate in something called an Aqus Action Circle. You will meet other people just like yourself who want something done.
Present what you want done to the other 5 people, discuss the matter and ask for help. You promise to help them - just for one half hour - if you agree with their action request. You are not required to act unless you agree and you are not required to say if you will act. The only thing that you are required to do is to respect the other person's idea and adhere to the time limitations.
- maximum of six people per table
- presentation no longer than 5 minutes
- discussion of each topic no longer than 5 minutes
- please prepare a one page document handout with your name, contact information, a description of your issue and instruction on what the action calls for (the easier you make it for the others the more lightly they will follow through)
- introduce yourself and say a little about yourself
- please stay at one table
Come down and get something done. Please limit your presentation to no more than 5 minutes and limit the conversation thereafter also to under 5 minutes. That way everyone gets exactly 10 minutes. If you do not
agree with the action presented try understand why that person thinks
that way rather than trying to persuade them otherwise. Please come early, stay until the
end and follow the time limitations.
